Project Description
My research topic is about Twitter and its positive and negative effects on society. Twitter's popularity has risen in the past few years. For my project, I plan to analyze the different ways (sociologically, politically, and economically) that this form of new media impacts social interaction and make conclusions based on my research into how Twitter has been used to accomplish different goals. I will also look into the way Twitter users are segmented demographically and if certain means of using Twitter are more effective than others. Hopefully, my topic will be narrowed down a bit more before I commence my research.

i agree twitter has grown in the past few years and it has become really popular. We can follow celebrities and have an idea of what they're doing:).
ReplyDeleteTwitter is used by so many people for so many different things. The problem is, most people under estimate it's power and use for ridiculous things- like updating everyone on what they're doing throughout the day. That's so petty and irrelevant. However, Twitter is our fastest mode of communication and it was played an essential role in some breaking news stories. It helps spread the word, the only problem is, the word isn't always accurate and could result in a wild fire. I hope you can show that there's more to Twitter than seeing what Lady Gaga is doing.
